Project:

Playing Field

Thanks to Kris MacDonald (and others!) for their many hours of pushing sand to create our new playing field.  Over the past decade, all of the fill that has been removed from our various projects (the new beach area, the Waterfront Lodge, the Welcome Centre, the new Staff House and other projects) has been used to fill deep esker pits to create a large, flat area.  Rod Unger has done a great job of cleaning up the junk that tends to accumulate at camps to make the area safe and attractive as a program area.  Once the field is seeded, NLBC will have a beautiful field for wide games, skills, and play.

Two large shooting ranges were created off the side of the field area to provide a permanent home for Archery and Riflery.  This spring we hope to build two permanent buildings to house equipment and to offer covered shooting platforms to provide protection from sun or rain.
